What is CST?

What is CranioSacral Therapy (CST)?

CST is a very gentle and non- invasive manual therapy applying 1-5 gm of pressure (weight of a nickle or less) to the head and sacrum (low back) to help release structural and soft tissue restrictions. CST normalizes the environment around the brain and spinal cord, which enhances the body’s natural ability to heal and self correct.

It is coupled with myofascial release throughout the body to help restore the cranial sacral fluid rhythm which helps regulate the central nervous system. This in turn stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system, helping children get out of flight or fight and into restful and calm states.

This gentle release of restrictions facilitates the body's own innate healing to take place which can help the following issues:

~ Autism  ~ CP  ~Tongue ties   ~Respiratory Issues  ~Structural problems ~ Molding cranial bones  ~Fussiness

~Sleep disorders  ~Torticollis   ~Orthopedic conditions   ~Neurological trauma   ~Cervical trauma  ~Pelvic imbalances/gait issues ~Digestive and elimination issues  ~Birth trauma  ~Sensory processing difficulties  ~ Latching difficulties

~ADD/ADHD  ~Respiratory disease  ~ Postural anomalies  ~Pain  ~Acute injuries

~Plagiocephaly (flat side of head)   ~Brachycephaly (flat and short back of head)
